Bethany H. joined Bibles International this past summer and has begun building her prayer and financial support team. Bethany comes from a pastor’s family and is eager to begin work as a Scripture translation consultant. She was saved when she was very young and was baptized at the age of six. As an elementary school student, Bethany began to believe that God was calling her to be a missionary.
When Bibles International personnel spoke at Bethany’s church emphasizing the need for Bible translation, Bethany’s heart was touched. Seeing a video of the dedication of a new Bible, God spoke to her, and she felt certain of His leading in her life. She began preparation to be involved in Bible translation. The Lord led Bethany to Bob Jones University, where she pursued a degree in cross-cultural studies as an undergraduate. She then pursued a graduate degree in intercultural studies focusing on Bible translation. Bethany looks forward to the day when she will be able to play a part in getting the Bible into people’s heart languages. Lord willing, she plans to serve in Peru.
